The HomeComputerMuseum is a non-profit foundation (comparable to a U.S. 501(c)(3)) dedicated to preserving and presenting the history of the home computer and its related culture and technology. This history is shared with the public through an interactive museum exhibition.

For collection management purposes, the museum retains up to three examples of each computer type: one on public display (active), one stored as a reference unit (passive), and one preserved in original packaging where available.

Additional donated items are carefully evaluated. If an item does not improve the existing collection, it may be used for spare parts, donated or exchanged with other museums, or, in limited cases, offered for sale. Only these surplus items are listed on this website.
